OSA Rules & Procedures

 

 

  1.   Meetings will be run in accordance with Robert's Rules of Order.

 

 
2.   Chairman will conduct meetings. If he/she is absent, the Vice-Chairman will preside, then Secretary, then Treasurer.

 

 
3.   Agenda will be available to all members prior to meetings.

 

 
4.   Voting on motions will be by voice or hand vote by attending members.

 

 
5.   Voting membership will be limited to Osage Shareholders. One-year membership will be $25.00.

 

 
6.   Associate membership will be available to Osage non-shareholders for $10.00 per year. Associate members may not vote or hold office. 

 

 
7.   Osage Shareholders Association, Inc. should avoid taking sides or being involved in political matters pertaining to tribal business. An exception to this rule would be when our headright monies or mineral trust is in jeopardy and only then by vote of our membership.

 

 
8.   Elections for OSA, Inc. officers will be held every two years at the association meeting in May. Notice of such election and meeting will be given to membership 60 days in advance.

 

 
9.   Nominations will be by OSA, Inc. election committee or from the floor at the meeting. All nominations welcome.

 

 
10.   Once organized, meetings will be held quarterly in Feb., May, Aug., and Nov. (Third Sunday in the month)

 

 
11.   Office holders will not be paid a salary or stipend. Major travel expenses (if necessary) by one or more officers may be reimbursed with prior approval of the membership. 

 

 
12.   Rules/Procedures may be changed or amended as necessary by vote of the membership
